Day 5 of Cruise - Greece's Mykonos Island - クルーズ 5 日目 - ミコノス島、ギリシャ
Before I begin I will do a short introduction for new readers.

Day 5 of Cruise - Greece's Mykonos Island - クルーズ 5 日目 - ミコノス島、ギリシャ
At this point of the trip the cruise is over half way over. I remember being very sad at this point of the trip because honestly it was a feeling of being free from stress when travelling in the middle of the ocean.
この時点でクルーズは半ばです。海の真ん中を旅するのは正直ストレス解消になったので、この時は本当に悲しくなったのを覚えています。
The cruise ship arrived in Mykonos early in the morning. When I seen the island I knew immediately that this was going to be my favourite destinate of the entire trip. I was already comparing it to Santorini and Santorini was losing.
クルーズ船は早朝にミコノス島に到着しました。この島を見たとき、これがこの旅行全体で僕のお気に入りの目的地になるだろうとすぐに思いました。僕はすでにサントリーニ島と比較していましたが、サントリーニ島は負けました。
After getting off the cruise ship we had to take a small boat ride to the main part of Mykonos. This was a very short journey and a good way to see the outskirts of the town.
クルーズ船を降りた後、ミコノス島の主要部まで小さなボートに乗らなければなりませんでした。これは非常に短い旅行であり、町の郊外を見るには良い方法でした。
After reaching our destination, we got off the small boat and just simply appreciated the scenery. It was beautiful. There was a small beach, with clear water and a charming setting.

We then ventured further into the town. We passed many shops, cafes and restaurants along the way. For an avid shopper there was much to see and buy! There were typical souvenir shops which sold Mykonos themed goodies, to shops that sold honey, creams and cosmetics.
それから私たちはさらに町の中に足を踏み入れました。途中、たくさんのお店、カフェ、レストランの前を通りました。熱心な買い物客にとっては、見たり買ったりできるものがたくさんありました。ミコノス島をテーマにした商品を販売する典型的な土産物店から、蜂蜜、クリーム、化粧品を販売する店まで、あらゆるものがありました。
Since once of my hobbies is trying honey from different countries I made sure to buy some honey.
いろいろな国のはちみつを試すのが趣味なので、はちみつを買いました。
We also really enjoyed simply walking along the streets. Everywhere was so clean, the streets were filled with culture and beautiful plans and flowers.
街を歩いているだけでとても楽しかったです。どこも美しく、通りは文化と美しい計画と花でいっぱいでした。
Also I want to make a point of saying how kind the local people were. I could see that Mykonos was a island that received a lot of tourism and honestly I can understand why. The local people were so welcoming and they casually spoke with us in a friendly and warm tone when we entered their shops. This was not like the shop owners when we were in Turkey that were rude and somewhat manipulative. Mykonos just gave off very positive and welcoming vibes.
地元の人々がどれほど親切だったかも伝えたいと思います。ミコノス島は観光客が多い島だと知り、その理由が素直に分かりました。地元の人たちはとても歓迎してくれて、店に入るとフレンドリーで温かい口調で話しかけてくれました。これは、私たちがトルコにいたときの店主とは異なり、失礼でやや操作的でした。ミコノス島にはとてもポジティブで歓迎的な雰囲気がありました。
While there we made sure to visit the famous windmills of Mykonos. Unforunately I didn't get a good picture of them. It was nice getting to see them and they looked were scenic.
そこにいる間、私たちはミコノス島の有名な風車を必ず訪れました。残念ながら、良い写真は撮れませんでした。景色も良くてとても嬉しかったです。
After a few hours of exploring Mykonos we began walking back to the small port where the small boat dropped us off. Fortunately we remembered the way back to the small port! Since it was so hot outside we wanted to relax and enjoy some time by the pool on the ship.
ミコノス島を数時間探索した後、私たちは小さな港に戻り始め、そこで小さなボートが私たちを降ろしてくれました。 幸いなことに、私たちは小さな港に戻る道を覚えていました。外はとても暑かったので、船内のプールでリラックスして時間を楽しみたいと思いました。
Once we arrived back on the ship we got some lunch at the buffet and prepared to go to the pool. Late afternoon we decided to go on the large observatory on the ship. This observatory raised very high into the sky allowing us to see an amazing view of the entire ship as well as a spectacular view of the island. It was amazing and it was one of the charms of this cruise ship.
船に戻ったらビュッフェで昼食をとり、プールに行く準備をしました。午後遅く、船上の大きな展望台に行くことにしました。この展望台は空高くに設置されており、船全体と島の素晴らしい景色を眺めることができました。それは素晴らしく、それがこのクルーズ船の魅力の一部でした。
Later that evening we decided not to go to the buffet. Instead we went to the pizzeria on the ship. What made this pizzeria so special was it was free. It sold all types of pizza! Not only that but the pizza was rather big too! It was such good pizza. I wish I could eat it right now.
その夜遅く、私たちはビュッフェには行かないことにしました。代わりに船内のピッツェリアに行きました。このピッツェリアが特別だったのは、無料だったということです。いろんな種類のピザが売ってました！それだけではなく、ピザもかなり大きかったです！とても美味しいピザでした。今すぐ食べられたらいいのに。
That concluded our day in Mykonos. It was so much fun and I would like to go back there but this time with my wife. I would love to show her this wonderful island!
これでミコノス島での一日は終わりです。とても楽しかったのでまた行きたいですが、今回は妻と一緒に行きました。彼女にこの素晴らしい島を見せたいです。
