How are you doing? Today is star festival (七夕). Does anybody celebrate this festival today? Maybe when you were kids, you might write your wishes in Tanzaku(短冊). What did you write then? And could you realize your dream now?
By the way, do you know the origin of this star festival? I found that it was derived from the Chinese star festival, Qi Xi (七夕 "The Night of Sevens") and it is originated from
The Festival to Plead for Skills (乞巧奠; きっこうでん). In short, it comes from China. Because I believed it was a Japanese traditional festival, it was surprising information for me.
