Good afternoon, how was your weekend? Did you enjoy? Today's topic is"LOCAL".
Local has lots of meaning. For example, if you are person to use train for work, you see LOCAL on the board. It means 普通電車.(急行→RAPID)
Other meaning of LOCAL is 地方. Our school has students from all over Japan, so they can tell us their local food. Last week, one of the student told us about their special sweets in Nagano. (apple flavor プリッツ,, I heard it tastes like apple pie アップルパイの味がするみたい
）

As for me, I was born in Ishikawa prefecture(石川県生まれ
）, Ishikawa traditional food (local food) is JIBUNI.. (治部煮(じぶに) 石川県金沢市の代表的な郷土料理。 鶏肉（本来は鴨肉）をそぎ切りにし小麦粉をまぶし、だし汁にしょう油、砂糖、みりん、酒をあわせたもので、鶏肉、特産のすだれ麩、しいたけ、青菜を煮たもの)
I heard the name of this food is originated from the sound of cooking.(じぶじぶという音をさせて煮ることから名づけられているみたい・・・） It's one of the stories though...(あくまでも一説だけど・・）
