Obama won the USA election～オバマ大統領誕生へ
Barack Obama has won the 2008 U.S. presidential election, defeating John McCain, and will be sworn in as the first African-American to hold the nation's highest office. What makes this election special is the fact it comes at very difficult times not only in America but around the world:
first black president, Barack Obama turned from the jubilation of victory to the sober challenge of leading a nation worried about economic crisis, two unfinished wars and global uncertainty. For a while the world has been under the charme of his character: Young, cool, calm, popular charismatic... Europe, Asia, Africa... everywherea Obama fever can be felt.
Even after the win he kept calm and urged the people around him to stop dreaming and start working!
It was a lesson in politics especially for countries like Japan where the political life still far from reality. Another lesson is the hope that everybody, you, me it gives us. YES WE CAN! NOT to be president of course but in every aspect of life.
次期アメリカ大統領にオバマ氏が圧勝で決まりました。
現在の厳しい経済危機、終わりの見えない戦争。多くの人が、彼の能力に期待しているのが、すごい迫力で伝わってきたような一日でした。
はじめての黒人大統領として、マイノリティを引き付けただけでなく、彼の能力、清潔な人柄や雰囲気、数々の魅力が大きな期待となって、大きな勝利を招いたのだとおもいます。
今や、世界中がオバマ氏に注目しています。
彼の勝利は世界中の人々にある種の希望を与え、多くのレッスンになったと思います。
”まさか現実になるとは思わなかったことでも強い信念で打ち破ることができるのだ”と。
