やった!Nobel Price in Physics
Yesterday we watched live the attribution of the Nobel price in Physics to three japanese researchers.
Yoichiro Nambu from Enrico Fermi Institute, University of Chicago
Chicago, IL, USA
Tsukuba, Japan
Makoto Kobayashi High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK)
and
Toshihide Maskawa Kyoto Sangyo University; Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP), Kyoto University
Kyoto, Japan
"for the discovery of the mechanism of spontaneous broken symmetry in subatomic physics"
"for the discovery of the origin of the broken symmetry which predicts the existence of at least three families of quarks in nature"
It has been 6 years since last Physics bobel price. Oasis wrote about how japanese should change their education system for better results, I agree with her; we need more creative people. I hope this news will give hope to new generation. When I was doing research, I was told by many professors that the they are not after the price but it is a good motivation.
