Olympics!～オリンピックが終わって

After two weeks of high level competitions, the Beijing’s Olympics is over. The closing ceremony as the opening one was a show off from China who was waiting for these games to change or to try to change her image in the world.
There were many disappointments, but I want to talk today about the "fake" image from China and fake hopes from Japan:
China fake: we did not hear yet about any scandal during the closing ceremony; but the opening ceremony was tainted with fake exhibition including the lips sync of a girl was not beautiful enough in Chinese standard! Fireworks made by Computer Graphic, moving the homeless away from the competitions area…
Japan fake hope, with all group sports: soccer (men & women), volleyball (men women), badminton, baseball (men) failing to get medal or show any decent level. I think soccer teams were pretty good but luck the psychological training.
I heard that the head coach of baseball was aiming at the gold medal no less, he even said: we are playing only for Gold. Strange for someone at his age and professional level! When you are playing at professional level and participate at Olympics, your opponents deserve some respect. This is the abc of Japanese martial arts. After the loss he, again said (quote): In Olympics, strong teams do not win, the winners are strong! Game of words that he is mastering for any eventual surprise. Is that mean that Japan is strong but did not win? What about the other strong teams; USA, Cuba, Korea?
I feel sorry for the young players having such coach who not only lack international experience but cannot even find an excuse.
Other fake hopes: Athletics; Marathon (men and women), Judo heavy weight, tennis table…
One of the key success in this kind of games is, beside the hard works, is the psychological training. Japanese showed that only hard work will NEVER bring medals! And the young generation will always pay the price for a system made for the old old fashion bureaucrats.
