Japanese Character漢字

I like japanese characters, the calligraphy, the meaning...It is always challenging to try remember all of them. I liked some articles in French　magazine "courrier international" about some of japanese kanji and themes by Mr Kazuhiko Yatabe. I will start today with rekishi.
歴史 is the world for history. The modern history of the world is more remembered by the WW II and what followed of the new order. The japanese history is more than the defeat in the WW II, but defeat is easy to remember. And let s not forget:
The bomb atomic, pearl harbor, Nazi, Cold war, Cuba missile crisis...
It is time to forget that sad page in human history.
