Driving license
I spent the whole afternoon today in the unten menkyo jo (driving license office). Many surprises, first I knew it will take more than two hours said in the application form, but I did not know that we have to assist to a 30 mn length seminar about drunk driving.
Second, we had to go to at least six or more madoguchi (offices) that you have to follow not in number order but in what they do!
Third, we had a test about our behaviour during driving; and I was surprised by the person in charge asking me if I can read Kanji! After an hour and half listening to his "speech"!!!
But after paying the expenses and spent most of the day at the office, we got the driving license and we forgot about the hard day! Ouuf!
