英語勉強中です。久しぶりにMY STORY 始めました💗
何年も前から英語の勉強で書いていたんですが、この一年きっちりさぼりました💦

No.1: The Mystery in the Pool (2026/05/13)
It was many years ago,
when I was in Los Angeles for a short-term study abroad program.
One day, we were playing in the pool at my host family’s house.
It was a deep pool, about three meters deep.
Suddenly, I saw something black and squishy slowly sinking to the bottom.
Without thinking, I shouted, “Something animal!”
My host family laughed at my English.
(My grammar was terrible back then, but I meant "There's an animal!")
One of them dove in to take a look and came back up with it in her hand.
When I looked closely, it was just my hair tie!
It had slipped off without me noticing, and I hadn’t realized it at all.
We all burst out laughing again.
"Something animal!"と叫んでいた私
正しい文法で話すとしたら、こう言えばよかったんです。
① There is something sinking!
② Something is sinking!
①はSVM②はSVのどちらも第一文型・・・ですが、
①は 冷静な報告 😐
イメージ: 冷静に状況を捉えている。
ニュアンス: 「あそこで、何かが沈みつつあるよ」と 客観的な事実を目撃して誰かに教えている感じ。
②は大パニック！😱
イメージ: パニック・緊急事態！
ニュアンス: 「大変だ！何かが沈んでる！」と、沈んでいる「その物」に目がいき、驚きや焦りを一気に表現している。
結論：私は②を叫べばよかったんですね(^▽^)/
