バーナードリーチやルイマルカイの作品と共通点をもつ益子焼は、マークを魅了してしまったようです。子供の頃、益子焼は土っぽくてあまり好きじゃあないと思っていたのを思い出しますが、今ではその私まで益子焼の美しさに惹かれています。素敵なレストランの後ろに焼き窯があるのを偶然見つけました。
Ｍａｓｈｉｋｏ Ceramics, which has lots of common things with the works of Louis Marchy and Barnard Leach, completely attracted Mark. I just remembered that I did not like Mashiko ceramics because I felt it was somehow too earthy when I was a little girl. But now I am also faccinated by the beauty of Mashiko Ceramics. We found a kiln just behind a lovely restaurant by chance.
