Last Saturday I went to "Hagoita Fair" in Sensouji in Asakusa . The fair is always held around this time of a year.
There are lots of hagoita stalls with really colourful traditional rackets . When a visitor buys an expensive hagoita, the stall's staff shout "YO-Sha-Sha-Shan, Sha-Sha-Shan ,Sha-Sha-Shan-Shan", while at the same time clapping their hands three times. The fair was very busy and I realized this year was coming to an end . By the way, Japanese call December "Siwasu". Siwasu means that even the priests have to run wearing their gowns because everyone is busy in December. This is a Japanese parable. However, today I was jostled in the crowd because of how slow the people were moving. It was a fun and cheerful day .
