I used to not work Sundays, but next week will be the third Sunday in a roll that I've to work. I told my boss I'd like that day off (along with Mondays), but she has no one else to cover the shift, so I said "yes".
I have shown up to work with just a couple hours of notice before. I think I can be a push-over sometimes; but the bottom line is just that I need the money -- so I keep saying yes..
Last night mum was probably one of very few moms who made and hosted her own Mother's Day dinner. XD She was pretty content about it. Bulgarian-style bean soup, home-made egg noodles, home-made corn bread and fresh-caught tilapia caught off their dock. For dessert, home-made crème brûlée and white whine. Yum.

Another way to relax after a long day of working in Florida heat is with a nice read (right now, "Loving Garbo" -- see prev. entry) and my last pack of DHC under-eye strips....
