crocodile tears「ワニの涙」という英語表現です。

日本語では「そら涙」

"むかし、むかし　水辺にワニがたたずんで泣いていました。どうしたんだろう？と心配して近づいてみると、“がぶり”とワニに食べられてしまいました。"

このように、人の憐れみを誘いわざと流す涙の事をcrocodile tears と言います。

crocodile tears にだまされないように　ご注意!!

In Japanese, `crocodile tears` can be translated roughly to `empty tears (sora namida)`. 

A long time ago, a crying crocodile was crouched by the riverbank. One may wonder “Why? What is wrong?” But, suddenly `SNAP!`, the crocodile has eaten them. 

When someone uses weak emotions in order to get compassion or empathy from others for their personal gain, this is called `crocodile tears`.

Please do not be deceived by the crocodile`s tears!

Its Bryce here!
Its been a while since I have posted here.
I recently went home for summer break.
I had a lot of fun!
I saw my family and friends for the first time in 1 1/2 years!
I went to the beach with my family, saw my brothers band play, and several other friends play in concerts too!

I also gained a little bit of weight.
I had so much Mexican food!
I love Mexican food!

We now have a new teacher.
He will be writing a journal to introduce himself soon!

What's your guilty pleasure? やめられない事

What is your "guilty pleasure"? A guilty pleasure is... "I cannot tell anyone, but I like it.." It is something you enjoy, but at the same time, you feel badly about it. For example... Pizza is not a very healthy food, but I love to eat it a lot. We asked the teachers of Maple what their guilty pleasures were!

やめられない事は何ですか？ダメだって分かってるけど、やめられない事。一人に言えないけど、好きな事です。例えばピザは身体によくないけど、食べちゃいます。先生達に聞きました。

Bryce says, "My guilty pleasure is eatting chocolate, I eat a lot of it at once."

ﾌﾞﾗｲｽは、「チョコがやめられません。」

Our French teacher, Lea, says, "Checking facebook, twitter and other sites is my guilty pleasure because I cannot go one day without checking them."

フランス語の先生レアは、「いつもフェイスブックとかチェックしています。それは出来ないと一日が終わりません。」

Brett says, "Drinking chuhai after work!"

ブレットは、「仕事の後のチュウハイを飲みます。」

One of our students admitted his guilty pleasure was eating at midnight!

一人の生徒は、「夜中に食べます。」
