Guess what ! (ねぇ、ちょっと聞いて!) The temperature in my hometown in Texas is 33 degrees Celcius! It's like summer. Last week it was pretty cold, like Oita, but it suddenly got hot, like summer. My parents are using the air conditioner to cool the house! That's a little extreme! (極端）
BUT the temperature in Idaho where my sister lives is -16 Celcius! Idaho is close to Canada, so it gets pretty cold every winter, but -16 is also a little extreme!
Speaking of extreme, sometimes I hear some extremely loud sneezes (くしゃみ）from my sister-in-law next door （隣の家). The other day, I was working in my office upstairs, and I could hear my sister-in-law sneeze very loudly next door. As a joke, I sent her a Line message: "Bless you!" She sent me a Line message back: "Thanks!"
I grew up in the countryside in Texas. Our closest neighbors were far away. We couldn't hear them sneeze. It's kind of nice to be able to hear people so nearby. I don't feel lonely.
