Happy Easter, Everyone!Today is a happy day!

My husband and I told each other "Happy Easter!" this morning.

He teaches drone (ドローン) classes on the weekend, so I spent the day alone.  I took a walk in the sunshine.  I took a nap with my cat.  I gave my dog a lot of hugs.  I missed them both when I was in Nagasaki.

I attended Easter Mass (ミサ) online.  There is a church in Australia that has online masses every Sunday.  People join from all over the world.  The priest is from Malta (マルタ).
I cooked a Polish (ポーランドの) recipe that I found on YouTube.  (It was good!  I'll put the link at the bottom of this post, if you want to try it.)
And I made a cake shaped like a lamb (子羊), for Easter. I remembered my grandmother as I made the cake.  She used to make the same cake for Easter when I was a child.

I sent and received Easter messages with my mother and sister, and with my children.  I also received an Easter message from my Japanese friend who lives in Australia.  We were friends in university, many years ago.  She moved to Australia and has a family there.  And I moved to Japan and have my family here.

My husband's sister and her husband sent me Happy Easter messages.  My brother-in-law is from Chad, in Africa.  He spent many years in France when he was young.  He told me that in Europe there is a holiday called Easter Monday.  The day after Easter Sunday is a national holiday!  I had never heard of Easter Monday.  We don't have that in the U.S.

Easter is almost over in Japan, but it's morning in Texas, so my Texas family is just waking up and starting the day.  There will be more Easter greeting messages sent among us, I'm sure.

Here's the Polish dish that I made.  Why don't you try it?  It was easy and tasty.  I made mashed potatoes to go with it.

Good night from Okoge and Charles!
