My mother-in-law told me that when she was a child, there was a holiday in the fall when the children would go around to the neighborhood houses and receive sweet potatoes. She said it was so fun! It sounded a lot like Halloween to me.
Do you know what she was talking about? She is 90 years old. Maybe it was only in the area where she grew up?
A few minutes ago, my husband decided to try and make pancakes himself. Always, I am the pancake maker in our family. (I make good pancakes!) But my husband has decided, after 3 decades (30 years) of marriage, that he will try it himself today. He is in the kitchen now. Please wish him luck!
