#41 My Very Very Favorite Musician (一番好きなアーティスト)

Last year I had eye surgery (目の手術) two times.  I stayed in the hospital for 6 days and 10 days.  No visitors were allowed (面会禁止）because of Covid (コロナ）.  I couldn't see well, and I was bored（退屈), and I was lonely.   

During my time in the hospital, I listened to a lot of YouTube.  And I discovered an amazing musician.  His name is Josh Garrels.  His music is fresh and wonderful.  It's very hard to describe in words.  He is a very, very versatile (多面的、多芸多才？）musician.  

 

 

In the following short song, he doesn't even really sing.  But the music is dreamy and magic. And the video is nice.

 

 

 

He has a very distinctive (異色?) voice.  

The next song is actually a Christmas song.  Josh Garell's voice and the music arrangement is so, so beautiful!

He has many, many songs that he makes available for free on Youtube.  He also has a website where you can buy his music.

 

 

I love this music so much that I wish I could play it from big speakers in the sky!  I feel like it could heal the whole world.

If you are interested in hearing more Josh Garrels music, search for him on YouTube.  There are so many wonderful songs, and each song is so unique.  When I listen to other music now, it feels like junkfood compared to Josh Garrels' very hearty (がっつり）and substantial (具たくさん） music.

He's not a pop singer.  For me, his music is a kind of healing art.
