Most people I know love to travel.

Not me.

I hate to travel.  I love to stay here in this town.

When I was young, I loved traveling.

I went to Europe when I was 18 years old.

That was very exciting and fun.

When I was 23 I came to Japan.

That was very exciting and interesting and fun too.

But now that I'm older, I just want to stay home.

I don't need any more adventure.

I have lived for over 3 合格decades in a foreign country.

I learned a new language and new customs.

I raised my children in a school system that I wasn't familiar with.

I took them to doctors in a medical system that I wasn't familiar with.

I made many, many mistakes!  So many mistakes!!!

Every day has been an adventure.  ハラハラドキドキ, every day!

I love Japan.  I'm so happy I could raise my children here.  I'm so happy I could learn this new language and these new customs and culture.

I'm very, very satisfied and happy with the life I live here in Japan.

But...

I don't need any more adventures!  So I don't need to travel.

I've become quite a homebody (someone who likes to stay at home).

How about you?

Do you like to travel, or are you more of a homebody?

合格 1 decade = 10 years  (So 3 decades is 30 years.)
