We have an expression in English:
The only things certain in this life are death and taxes.
(逃れることの出来ないものは死と税金だけです。)
We will all die some time. We know this, but we don't like to think about it. Some of us will die of old age, some of us will die of disease, and some of us will die in accidents. We don't know when or how we will die, but it is certain that we all die.
Who will go first? We don't know.
How will we go? We don't know.
Will we go? Yes, we all will.
Different people believe different things about what happens to us after we die. Do we simply stop existing? Do we continue life somewhere else, like heaven? I strongly believe the latter (二つの中の最後の方)possibility.
Some people believe that only good people go to heaven (and bad people go somewhere else).
I believe that none of us is perfect. No one is a "good person". We all make mistakes. We all love poorly. We all hurt each other, and do things in secret that make us ashamed. We gossip about other people. We're selfish sometimes.
I think that as we approach our death, we might feel more and more guilty (疚しい?) about the bad things that we know we did that have accumulated(積み重ねる) over our lifetime.
Fortunately for all of us, God is love and He can forgive (許す)us of every bad thing that we have done in our lives, if we simply ask Him.
In this life, some of us are rich, and some are poor. Some are powerful, and some are weak. Some are considered beautiful, and some aren't. Some are considered to be intelligent, and some aren't. But we are all God's children. We are all equal in that way. We are all sisters and brothers. And we are also equal in the fact that we will all die.
And we are all walking each other home.
I love that idea.
We are all walking each other home.
私たちは皆、お互いに "home" まで付き添って歩いてます。
"Home" means our final destination.
During this life, I think that the #1 (number one) most important thing is love.
Everyone is carrying a burden (重い荷物). Everyone is suffering pain. Everyone has a broken heart, in some way, even if they only show you a smile, and only talk about cheerful topics. So let's be kind to each other, as we walk each other home.
I pray love and light and peace to you all.
former = 二つの中の最初の方
