大学では、毎学期の終了前に、学生による授業評価が行われます。
授業の内容についての評価や意見を求める、アンケート形式で実施されます。
春学期の結果が先日届きました。
今日は「ピアノ指導法」のクラスの評価をご紹介したいと思います。
このクラスは２〜４年生のピアノ専攻生が中心でした。
優しい学生達が多かったと思いますが、「授業と教師の全体評価」は５段階中の５でした。
アンケートの最後に感想を書けるのですが、学生達が授業を真剣に受け止めてくれたのが伝わってきて嬉しかったです。
その一部をご紹介したいと思います。

Professor Kawamura is an excellent teacher! I really appreciated her passion for the subject matter and her efforts to equip us the best she could with why and how we should teach. This course has taught me so much and made me feel very prepared and competent to teach.
なぜ教えるのか、またどう教えるのかについて講義し、私達が最も良い状態で教えられる様に準備してくれた。これから教える事に自信が持てる。
Professor Kawamura is an exceptional teacher. She knows how to engage students and has a great balance between fun and serious. She genuinely cares about students. For example, I got over 30 method books for free that she brought to class. She also showed great educational videos (e.g. history of pianoforte). Also, the first lecture was just awesome! Professor Kawamura showed us why God gave us music and taught us about Bible passages where music was used in Israel. This is another reason Professor Kawamura cares about her students, and I've had a great experience in this class overall. It was super practical, and really prepared me for teaching!
彼女は真面目な時と楽しい時の良いバランスを保っていた。各自30冊以上のメソッドを無料でもらえるように手配してくれた。とても役に立つビデオを見せてくれた。1回目の授業は、神が人に音楽を与えた理由について、聖書に書かれている音楽についての講義で、素晴らしかった。
Professor Kawamura clearly puts her all into teaching. The time and care she put in is obvious in every class and she is always available to help her students. I really enjoyed her class!

Great course that provides a foundation for teaching piano to young students. Great teacher as well, who is very knowledgeable on the subject and encourages students to apply these situations during and beyond college.

I learned a lot about piano lessons thanks to Professor Kawamura, and it was very useful to learn how to approach young children through piano lessons. Thank you so much!
