The Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes, as UNESCO World Heritage as part of the "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range" property.
For over a century people from all levels of society, including women and disabled, have made the pilgrimage to Kumano. The place is called Takijiri, Ouji, one of the starting point of Kumano Kodo Nakahechi rout. I’m wearing one of the costumes of the Heian period, 8th to 12th century.
