George Floyd, a black man, died after being squeezed in his neck when he was arrested by a former police officer, Derek Chauvin, a white man. It was the kind of thing that puts the spotlight on racism again.
一昨日の4月21日、ついに判決がおりて被告は有罪となりました。
The day before yesterday, April 21, finally sentenced and the defendant was found guilty.
事件の目撃者たちの話からも妥当な判決だったでしょう。

フロイドさんの死が無駄にならず、世界中に大きなうねりを引き起こしたことは歴史にも残ると思います。
And I also think that it will be in history that Floyd's death was not wasted and caused a big swell all over the world.
