First about funeral. A member asked the teacher cremate or not? The teacher said cremate now. The ceremony takes for a week. Philippines is very hot. The body can keep? The teacher said we inject medicine. The medicine is very expensive. But they inject three times for a week.

Next, about new year. We eat Mochi at new year day. Fhilippines also eat Mochi. Because Mochi is very stretchy so it’s lucky symbol. Actually it’s different with Japanese one.

日本ではお餅食べるでしょ？
フィリピンでも食べるんだって。
お餅はのびるでしょ。だから縁起がいいんだって
年越しそばみたいなもんかなぁ？
まあ、正確にいうと日本のお餅とは違って、餅菓子みたいなもんらしいけど。
