Toys 4 Tots

Today was the 36th annual Toys 4 Tots bike parade through Waikiki.

今日は第36回Toys4Totsと言うバイクのパレードがワイキキでありました。




Four to five thousand riders from all over the state as well as
from the mainland and even other countries gathered for
a day of giving and unity.

４～５千人のライダーがハワイ州やアメリカ本土や他の国から集まって来ました。

The purpose of this parade is to collect toys and money
for kids in need.

この祭りの目的は恵まれない子供の為オモチャやお金などを集めることです。

Riders young and old, male and female, black and white
participated in this event.
Of course no Christmas parade would be complete
without Santa Clause.

ライダーの若い人も年上の人も、男の人も女の人も、黒人さんも白人さんもこのイベントに参加しました。
もちろんサンタクロースがいなかったら、クリスマスの祭りではないですね！

クリスマスが来ます

The Christmas lights started going up around town this week.
Every year, Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier.
Soon we'll be starting Christmas season in summer.

今週ダウンタウンの方でクリスマスライトがかざられはじめました。
毎年クリスマスデコレーションがもっともっと早く来るそうです。
近い未来にクリスマスは夏くらいに来るかもしれません。
