正直に申し上げます。

キルティングって水通しすると縮みますね？

昔から不思議だったんですけど、

「キルティングって水通ししますか？」

しなくていい、と言う方と

した方がいい、と言う方と別れてますね

To be honest, quilting shrinks when you put it through water, doesn't it?

I've always wondered that.

"Do you put quilting through water?

Some people say you don't have to, and others say you should.

多少縮んだものの、気になるほどじゃなかったです。

槙夏は、この問題に取り組んで、

「水通ししない」にしました。

今まで購入していただいた方にお尋ねしたところ

「気にならない」

と言ってくださいました。

これは気を使ってくれてるのかな？

とも思いましたが、

自分でも水通しなしで作った

アップリケ付きキルティングバッグを２〜３ヶ月使ってから

ネットに入れて洗濯機で回したところ、

多少縮んだものの、気になるほどじゃなかったです。

I have worked on this problem and decided to "not put quilted bags through water".

When I asked those who have purchased the bags so far, they said " I don't mind the shrink".

I thought they were answering me as social pleasantries, but I have been using an appliqued quilted bags made without watering for a couple of months myself.

I put the appliqued quilted bag in the net and put it in the washing machine, and it shrunk a little, but not enough to bother me.

しかし、出来上がった新品の

アップリケ付きキルティングバッグを水通したら

生地にシワが寄ってそれが気になるんです。

実験したものは販売できない状態になりました↓

多分、２〜３ヶ月使ううちに生地がいい感じに柔らかくなる

ので洗濯した後シワと縮みが「気にならない」と思うのかな？

と推測します

However, when I put a new appliqued quilted bag that I just finished through water, the cloth wrinkled and that bothered me.

The one I experimented with is now unsaleable.

Maybe after a couple of months of use, the fabric becomes nice and soft and the wrinkles and shrinkage don't seem to bother me after washing? I guess so.

縦シワがあるのわかりますか？アイロンで伸ばしてもシワは残りました。

ついでにキルティングと合皮が合うか試した物です。

By the way, I sold my water-through appliqued bag at a local flea market, and people bought it, so I think that the customer doesn't mind the wrinkles.

The bag shown below was made into a bag after the quilting was put through water.

Do you notice the lines and wrinkles? I used an iron to stretch out the wrinkles, but the wrinkles remained.

In addition, this is a test to see if quilting and synthetic leather fit together.

I did not think quilting and synthetic leather would fit together.

生地がツルッとしててシーチングより上品な感じがするので

だったと思うのですが、水通ししてもシワが気にならない、とありましたが、

私は綿麻とジーンズ生地のキルティングも水通ししましたが、

同じようにシワが入りアイロンがけしてもシワは完全にはなくならず

残りました。キルティング加工してあるので水通しで縮んだ分は

シワが出てしまうのだと思います。

何人かご意見をいただいたのですが、

キルティングを水通ししてから縫うのは現実的じゃないのでは？

と。んー、確かに時間がかかり過ぎます。

手間の分お値段も上がってしまいますし

シワの入ったキルティングバッグが送られてもお客様は

きっとガッカリするんじゃないかな、とも思いました。

The quilted bags I use are made of broad fabric.

I use it because the fabric is smooth and feels more elegant than sheeting.

In an article by another person who experimented with water-through, I think it was either cotton linen or sheeting, and it said that wrinkles did not bother them even after water-through.

However, I have also water-quilted cotton linen and jeans fabrics, and the wrinkles appeared and remained even after ironing.

I think it is because the quilted fabric shrinks and wrinkles when water is applied.

I've received a few comments from people.

Some people have said, "Isn't it unrealistic to sew a quilted garment after running it through water?

It would certainly take too much time.

And the price would go up for the time and effort.

I'm sure the customer would be disappointed to receive a wrinkled quilted bag.

小学校では夏休みに入った時にレッスンバッグを洗うかどうか

考えるそうです

これも「洗う」と言う方と、「洗わない」と言う方に分かれます

そんなに汚れが気にならなかったら

洗わなくてもいいかもですよ〜、と槙夏は思います

気になる部分だけをつまみ洗いするが拭き取るようにしたら

使っていくうちに気にならなくなりました。

ウォッシャブルフェルトを使用していますが、

長く使っているうちに毛玉がつきます

適当にとっていただくといい感じに綺麗になります

So what should I do about applique? That's what you're probably thinking.

As the quilted bag shrinks, it becomes a bit crooked or wrinkled, but this does not bother me as I use it.

The quilted bag is made of washable felt, but the longer you use it, the more fur balls will form.

If you take it out properly, it will be nice and clean.
