A month ago I found an unusual object in the supermarket near my house. The shape is thick, long and not cute, actually kind of ugly
. It is "Sea cucumber"
I've eaten it at a chinese restaurant in Singapore, but I've never seen it at the supermarket. I wonder how to cook it and what's the advantage in nutrition?
I searched the information about sea cucumber on the Internet, I knew it's good for skin
because of its rich collagen. I also found some recipes, most of them are for eating it raw. But I didn't have the courage to eat it raw, so I decided to cook it for soup
When I cooked it, I felt uncomfortable with its appearance and texture. The soup taste good, actually sea cucumber has no taste. My hubby doesn't like its texture, but for me it's okay. Since then I've cooked it several times. I'm not sure my skin looks better or not, but I believe its effect
