How have you been, everyone?
皆さん、いかがお過ごしでしたか？
Boy, it has already been more than a month since I wrote my last blog article. Sheesh．
あれまあ、最後に記事を書いてから、もう一ヶ月以上ですね。ひゃ～。
My thank-you's are due for your comments and messges to me and my blog. I will try to reply to you all in a few days' time.
私とこのブログへのコメントやメッセージを頂いたこと、ありがとうを言わなければなりません。ここ数日の内に全員に返事を致します。
I was extremely busy with my day job during the past month. On top of it, we received the first prize winner of the PearTree Scholarship competition, Paulo from Brazil (announced in this article) during the latter half of January. He studied well and enjoyed his stay making the most of the given chance.
この1ヶ月は、本業が非常に忙しかったのです。その上、ペアツリー奨学金コンクールの優勝者、パウロ、（発表記事は上のリンク）を1月の後半にブラジルから迎えました。彼は良く学び、与えられた機会を最大限に生かし、この滞在を楽しんでいました。
Since he had to attend his classes during the weekdays, he used his weekends to visit New York and explore Washington, D.C. Despite that I only had a chance to see him at the dinner one evening, he was a soft-spoken, kind young man with the quiet but determined will to succeed.
平日は授業にでなければならなかったので、彼は週末にニューヨークを訪れ、ワシントンDCを探索したようです。私はただ一度、夕食を一緒する機会しかありませんでしたが、彼は、物腰の柔らかい、優しい若い男性で、表には出さないけれど成功するんだというしっかりとした心構えのある人でした。
Meanwhile, a friend of mine finally set up a company, which I mentioned in this article, with the funding we received last year. I will make a separate annoucement to introduce her company some other time when I feed like it.
そうこうしている内に、友人の一人が、昨年受け取った投資で会社を設立しました。（これを紹介した記事は上のリンク）気が向いたら、いつか彼女の会社の紹介を別記事でしたいと思います。
Although the temperature is low, the sunrays are definitely started to get stronger by the day. The spring is not too far away now. Please take good care of yourselves and study well.
気温は低いですが、確実に日差しは日に日に強くなってきています。春はもう遠くありません。体に充分気をつけて、よく勉強して下さい。
