Silvio runs 5 kilometers every day. Which equation, when solved, will tell how many days it will take Silvio to run 65 kilometers?
シルビオは、毎日 5 km 走ります。以下のどの等式を解くと、シルビオが 65 km 走るのにかかる日数がわかりますか。
A. 5 × d = 65
B. 65 × d = 5
C. 65 – 5 = d
D. 5 – d = 65
The answer is A. Silvio runs 5 km/day. If you multiply 5 km/day by the number of days (d) it takes, we will get 65 km.
答えは、A. シルビオは、一日 5 km 走る (5 km/day) のですから、走る日数 (d days) をかけると、65 km が得られます。

an inequation: 不等式
a linear (first‐degree, simple) equation: 一次方程式
simultaneous equations: 連立方程式
x = b: x equals b
x ≥ b: x is greater than or equal to b
a < b: a is strictly less than b
