There are 8 mailboxes on Bryce's street. 3 of the mailboxes are silver. What fraction of the mailboxes are silver?
ブライス通りには、8個の郵便箱があります。うち 3 個が銀色です。銀色の郵便箱の割合は分数で何ですか。

a fraction: 分数
a numerator: 分子
a denominator: 分母
When you read a fraction, you read the numerator first as a cardinal number and the denominator as an ordinal number. When the numerator is larger than one, the denominator has to be pluralized.
1/3 -> one third 3分の1
2/3 -> two thirds 3分の2
分数の読み方は、分子を最初に、基数（普通の数字）として読み、分母を序数（何番目という読み方）で読みます。分子が 1 より大きい場合は、分母は複数形にします。
