The following is a list of suggested summer reading for 4th grade students in the US and is cited from Greatschools.org's website here.

The number of pages in books started to decrease. I pasted 10 titles here. I found only one link to e-books, The Snow Goose, a story of friendship and love. However, from fiction to nonfiction, from adventures to humor, all of them are so fun to read.
本のページ数が少なくなって来ました。リストから 10 冊を貼りつけました。オンランリンクは、友情と愛の物語、白雁（ハクガン）たった一つしかありません。でも、フィクションからノンフィクション、冒険物からユーモアまで、すべて読んで楽しいものばかりです。
I strongly recommend #3, "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes" for this is a story of Japan after the World War II, and tells us about "hope." "Math Curse" talks about mathematics the fun way. "Jumanji" became a movie starring Robin Williams, "Day of Tears" is about the slavery, and "The Trouble with Wishes" comes from the saying, "Be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it."
「サダコと千羽鶴」は、力を入れてお薦めします。お話は第二次世界大戦後の日本についてで、希望を物語っています。「数学の呪い」は、数学について楽しく書いたものです。「ジュマンジ」はロビン・ウィリアムズ主演の映画になりましたし、「悲しみの日」は奴隷制度について書いたもの、それに「願い事の困ったところ」は「願い事は慎重に、本当になるかもしれないから」という言い伝えから出たものです。
These books teach us reading is a great pleasure.
