Mac mini では仮想化技術「VT-x」が Disable に？

Mac mini では Intel の仮想化技術「VT-x」（Vanderpool Technology）が Disable になっているということが、 Parallels Workstation の登場で明らかになった。

Parallels Workstation のサポートフォーラムのとあるスレッド に次のようなことが書かれている。

I've just been talking with an engineer at Apple, and the thinking right now is that it is unintentional and is a bug. I have passed his contact information on to the Parallels team.

VT-x の機能が Disable になっているのは意図的に行われたことではなく、ファームウェアのバグであることを Apple の技術者が認めているようだ。

もし、これが事実であれば、近いうちにまた Firmware のアップデートが行われるかもしれない？
