1月に Intel 版 Mac mini がお目見え？

AppleInsider が、UBS Investment Research のアナリストである Benjamin A. Reitzes 氏のレポートとして「Apple が Macworld Conference & expo/San Francisco 2006 にて最初の Intel ベース Mac を発表するのではないか」と予想していると伝えている。Intel はデュアルコアの「Yonah」プロセッサを１月に投入する予定で、現在ベンダー向けにすでに出荷開始しており、Reitzes 氏は「Yonah プロセッサは Mac mini に最適で、早ければ来年１月の Macworld Expo において発表されるのでは」と予想している。

After discussions with his firm's Semiconductor Research Team, Reitzes believes the Yonah processor may be a good fit for an Intel-based Mac Mini, which the firm says could make its debut as early as the Macworld Expo.

現行の PowerPC ベース Mac mini はすっかり話題性が乏しくなり、当ブログもこのところ少々ネタ切れぎみになっていたのだが、これを起爆剤としてまた盛り上がってくれることを期待したい。
