Nothing is more wonderful than a nap for me.
I have liked naps so much from childhood.
In addition, I have a special talent which I can sleep well wherever I am.
Although I don't remember, I heard that I was sleeping while eating a meal when I was a small child.
When I was a kid, my family lived next to my maternal grandparents' house.
So I often used to sneak into my grandparents' house alone and take a nap.
There were some hanging landscape paintings (Sansuiga) drawn by my great-grandfather in the house, and while I was lying down and looking at the paintings, I went into the paintings and I used to fall asleep with a mellow feeling without realizing it.
When I was a child, adults in my home town also used to have a routin of taking a nap.
Especially when there was no air conditioner, everyone took a nap in the summer to avoid the heat, so no one went out in the neighborhood during the daytime when the sunlight was strong.
It was like a Spanish siesta.
However, even if it isn't summer, everyone gets sleepy after lunch.
When I was in high school, the first lesson in the afternoon was hell for me.
I always used to lose in the battle against sleepiness in uninteresting Japanese history or world history class.
I remember when I was young, I was always sleepy.
When I was a college student, it took about an hour and a half to go to collage each way.
I took the Seibu Ikebukuro Line and Yamanote Line, and after that I went to my college by bus from Shibuya.
When I was able to sit on the bus on my way home, I was always struck by sleepiness, and I lost all my power and lost control of my will.
I thought I shouldn't lean on the person sitting next to me, so I corrected my tilted upper body, but soon after my consciousness faded away and I leaned on the person.
Sometimes I dropped my bag which I was holding on my lap.
Whether good or bad, I was a young woman at that time, so no one brushed off my head from his shoulder coldly.
But then, I was embarrassed very much.
If I think about it, I might have been always sleepy, not just when I was young.
I have some failure stories of dozing off.
It was when I was working at a pharmacy near my house.
At the pharmacy, I finished my morning work at 12 o'clock and had a lunch break until 2 o'clock.
One day, I went home for a while during lunch break and laid down on the sofa.
I carelessly dozed off, and when I woke up, it was greatly past 2 o'clock.
At this time as well, I was embarrassed.
Due to my dozing off for a moment, I have been late an hour before to pick up my daughter from the cram school.
I felt terribly sorry to my daughter who was waiting without complaining.
But taking a nap or dozing off is very pleasant.
Fortunately for me, my mother-in-law wasn't nearby.
Some of my friends who lived with their mothers-in-law wouldn't have been able to take a nap like I did.
With that in mind, I will continue to enjoy my nap today, being thankful me for the happiness which I have been given.
