韓国映画「パラサイト 半地下の家族」が先週、やっとWOWOWで放映されました。
韓国での公開は2019年5月、日本では2020年の1月でした。
昨年の7月に、夏休み中の釜山の大学生たちが、私たちの韓国語講座に見学にやって来た時、私は、今韓国で一番ヒットしていて面白い映画は何かと聞いてみました。
すかさず学生は「기생충：寄生虫」と答えました。
当時、私はこの映画のことは韓国の人のブログで知っていましたが、なにせ、まだ日本では未公開だったので、彼らとこの映画について語り合うことが出来なくて、残念な思いをしました。
それに、まだ、「パラサイト」は一般的でなく、「寄生虫」と呼ばれていました。
さて、この映画は、今の韓国では希望が1ミリも持てない絶望の余韻を残して終わります。
The Korean movie "PARASITE The family living in the Semi-Basement" was at last aired on WOWOW last week.
It was released in Korea in May 2019 and in Japan in January 2020.
Last July, when college students from Busan during the summer vacation came to visit our Korean language class, I asked them what was the biggest hit and most interesting movie in Korea right now.
The students immediately answered, "기생충: Parasitic worm."
At that time, I knew about this movie by a Korean blog.
However it had not been released in Japan yet, so I was disappointed that I couldn't talk to them about the film.
Besides, "Parasite" was still an uncommon title, so it was called "Parasitic worm".
By the way, this movie ends with a reverberation of the helplessness and hopelessness of today's Korean society.
半地下に住む4人家族。全員それなりに能力や才能はあるのに貧困生活を余儀なくされている・・・
ピザの箱の組み立てで日銭を稼いでいる。
日本にもクリスマスケーキの箱の組み立て内職があったけど、今はもう無いんかなあ・・・
副題にもなっている「半地下」ですが、韓国では、朝鮮戦争後、北朝鮮の核攻撃に備えて、70年代に核シェルター機能を持つ倉庫を備えた家が造られ、それが今住居に造り変えられて低所得者層の人たちが住んでいるそうです。
そう言えば、ソウルでお汁粉屋さんに入った時、なんか窓が歩道の高さと同じで、変な造りだな、と思ったことがありますが、あれって、それだったのかしらね。
だから、ソウルの山の手の高級住宅には、映画のような隠し核シェルターがあっても、全く不思議ではないですよね。
日本では考えられませんけど。
"The semi-basement," as the subtitle, after the Korean War, in Korea, many warehouses with a nuclear shelter function were built in the 1970s in preparation for North Korea's nuclear attack, and they have now been transformed into residences.
It seems that low-income people live there.
By the way, when I entered the sweet red bean soup shop in Seoul, I thought that the windows were the same height as the sidewalk outside and had a strange structure, now that I look back I wonder if that was the case.
So it's no wonder that the luxury houses with the hidden nuclear shelters like this movie stand on the hill in Seoul.
It is most unimaginable in Japan, I suppose.
また、ソウルは洪水もよくあることらしいです。
2009年にソウルに行った時、豪雨に遭い、清渓川が溢れているのを見ました。
高いビルの上のレストランからそれを他人事のように眺めていましたが、きっとあの時も、浸水した地下の家はたくさんあったことでしょう。
Besides, it seems that floods are common in Seoul.
When I went to Seoul in 2009, I experienced a heavy rain and I saw the Cheonggyecheon River overflowing.
I was looking down at that from the restaurant in the tall building like it was someone else's problem, but I'm sure there were many flooded basement houses at that time as well.
さて、この映画では「ある、におい」がとても大きなキーポイントになっています。
地下に住んでいる人特有のくさい「ある、におい」。
言うなれば、貧民層の人々の「ある、におい」。
それは今の韓国では貧乏人の烙印と同じ。
この烙印を押されると、もはや決して貧民層から抜け出ることは出来ないのです。
映画の最後のシーンで、主人公の青年が誓います。
お金を稼いで、必ずこの豪邸を買うと。
なぜなら、その豪邸のシェルターには、殺人を犯してしまった父親が人知れず、こっそりと住み続けているからです。
そして、いつかその家に引っ越した日に、父親に再会することを想像します。
しかしながら、こんな夢物語は、今の韓国では起こりえないことなのです。
大学も出ていない前科者の若者が、今の韓国社会で、まともな仕事を出来る訳もなく、ましてや、幾ばくかの糧を得られるにしても、そんな豪邸を買うだけのお金を儲けるには何百年もかかるでしょう。
よって、彼の父親はその地下室で朽ち果てるしかないのです。
モールス信号で、息子に語るも、息子にはその返事を父親に伝えるすべはないのです。
新たな展開を産むためには、父親が地下室から出て来てくるしかないでしょう。
全く絶望的な映画でした。
By the way, "a certain smell" is a very important keypoint in this movie.
"A certain smell" is peculiar to people living basements.
It is like a "smell of the poor".
It is the same as brand of poor in Korea today.
Once they were branded, they can never escape poverty.
In the final scene of this movie, the young man who is the main character swears.
"I'm going to make money and buy this mansion."
Because his father who has committed murder and continues to live in secret in the shelter of the mansion.
The young man imagines moving to the house someday and seeing his father again.
However, such a dream story cannot happen in Korea today.
A young man with a criminal record who hasn't even graduated from college can't get a decent job in today's Korean society, even if he can get some money, how can he make enough money to buy such a mansion?
It will take him hundreds years.
Therefore, his father has no choice but to decay in the basement.
His fathre continues talking to his son through Morse code, but the son has no way of replying to his father.
The only way to develop a new plot would be for the father to come out of the basement.
This film was a total hopeless movie.

かつ、息子ギウに家庭教師の職を紹介・・・やっと運が向いてきたか？
さっそくギウは偽の大学卒業証明書を持って、パク家を訪れる。
古い家政婦ムングァン、実は地下に夫を囲っている。
部屋に通される・・・階段が象徴的・・・
すごい家だ・・・奥様ヨンギョは犬をかわいがっている・・・
ギウ、こうしてみると、いいとこ坊ちゃんに見えるよ！！

パク家の人々・・・
パク家の息子ダソンの絵「たぶん、地下の男グンセを描いた・・・」を見て天才だと褒めちぎるギウ・・・
そして絵画教師として妹ギジョンを薦める・・・
ダソンの絵を見て、過去のトラウマ事件を言い当てるギジョン。
すっかり母親ヨンギョはギジョンを信頼してしまう・・・
パク家の息子ダソンはすっかりギジョンに手なずけられてしまった・・・
でも、ダソンは使用人たちの共通の匂いをかぎ分けている。
キム家の父ちゃんギテクは運転手になる。
元の家政婦ムングァンが桃アレルギーと知って、万引きした桃で
ムングァンをおとしめる・・・
ムングァンの後釜に母ちゃんのチュンスクが・・・（いやはや別人みたいにきれい・・・）
桃がおやつに出てくるようになって、パク家の娘ダヘは大喜び！！
パク家の留守宅でキム家は大はしゃぎ・・・でも、雲行きが・・・
リビングで酒盛りまではじめるが、この後予測不能な展開が待ち受ける・・・
大雨になり、パク家族は急きょ帰宅。その前にこの家の地下ではとんでもないことが起きていた・・・
それにその頃、キム家の半地下の家は洪水に飲み込まれていた・・・
仕切り直しのダソンの誕生会の日
妻ムングァンを殺された夫のグンセが地下室から出てきた・・・
地下でギウの頭に石を叩きつけたので血だらけだ・・・
グンセの前には豊かな階層の人々が楽しそうに集っていた・・・
いきなりギジョンを切りつけるグンセ
娘の惨事に母ちゃんのチュンスクは・・・バーベキューの串で・・・元砲丸投げのメダリスト！！
父ちゃんのギテクは・・・
グンセの悪臭に思わず鼻をつまむパク・ドンイクを見て
低階層の自分たちを侮辱されたようで、思わずドンイクの胸を刺してしまう！！
その後の人生はもう無いに等しい。いや、あっても無いより残酷だ。
