急に寒くなってきました。
つい、この間まで天気予報士が、猛暑だの、酷暑などと騒いでいたのにね。
でも、まだまだ虫たちの勢いは止まりません。
特に吸血を生業にしている蚊などは、最後のかき入れ時とばかり、24時間体制の最強の攻撃を仕掛けてきます。
なので、それらの餌食となる私も、今だ庭の草引きなど出来ずに、草ぼうぼう屋敷の主に甘んじています。

However, the predactory action of the insects has not stopped yet.
In particular, blood-sucking insects, like mosquitoes, that feed on animal blood are making the strong attack in all day, so it seems that they are at the time of the busiest season.
Because I am their prey, I'm still unable to weed my garden, and remain the owner of the house filled with weeds.

いまはもう秋、誰もいない海・・・
静かな海でした・・・
秋の海水浴場の公園の茂みで見つけた、アケビ、かな？
いやはや、虫には刺されなかったけど、クモの巣に・・・・
私の厄介な体質の一つ、虫に刺されやすいこと！！
ここ20年くらいは特にひどくて、地球環境の変化で、虫が多くなったのかと思うほどです。
例えば、屋外で他の人たちといっしょにいる時、私だけが虫に刺されて、手足などの露出部分がボコボコに腫れあがります。
顔や耳たぶまで、標的となります。
意外と他の人たちは、涼しい顔です。
One of my troublesome constitutions is being easily bitten by insects.
The last 20 years, the trouble has been particularly terrible, so I wonder if the number of insects has increased due to the changes in the global environment.
For example, when I'm outdoors with other people, only I get bitten by some insects so my exposed parts such as limbs swell up.
Even my face and ears get bitten.
Surprisingly others are not targeted.
そんな私を見て、
「お酒飲むからじゃない？」とか、
「汗っかきで体温高いんじゃない？」
「血液型がOだからよ・・・」
などと、根拠のない理由で決めつけます。
People say while looking at me being attacked,
"Isn't it because you drink alcohol?"
"Isn't it because you have a sweaty body and high body temperture?", or
"Isn't it because your blood type is O ?"
And so on, with unfounded reasons.
アルコール分解酵素を持たない私は、一切アルコールが飲めません。
まあ、酒代がかからないから、お得な体質ですが・・・
汗はかきにくい体質で、平均体温は35.3℃です。
それに、血液型はB型です。
B型だとわかると、「だから変わってるのね。」と、話は別の展開へ。
I don't have alcohol-degrading enzymes, so I can't drink alcohol at all.
Well, I don't waste the money on drinking, so I have an economical constitution.
My constitution is difficult to sweat and the average of my body temperature is 35.3 ℃.
Besides, my blood type is B.

もちろん、すぐに足洗いなど実行しましたが、私には、これといった効果は認められませんでした。
それに、刺すのは蚊だけではないのです。
庭先や玄関先では、一瞬のうちに、わけのわからない小さな黒いコバエのような虫が寄ってたかって、私を食い物にするのです。
スカートや裾の広いパンツをはいている時、わざわざ中まで潜り込んできて刺すのです。
薄手の衣類などは着てても物ともせずに。
憎っくき虫です。

I hate them.
もう15年前くらいになりますが、友人たちと北海道巡りをした夏のことです。
素敵なペンション風のホテルに泊まりました。
昼下がり、ホテルの広い庭のテーブルに集まっていた時です。
そばには自然を利用した小川のせせらぎもあり、静かでいい雰囲気でした。
ところがです。
ものの10分もたたないうちに、私の体はボコボコになり、耐え難いかゆみにおそわれました。
あとで分かったのですが、せせらぎなどに生息するブユに刺されたのです。
旅行から帰ってきて、病院へ駆け込みましたが、2週間は体中がはれ上がったままでした。
It's been about 15 years since I went to Hokkaido with my friends in the summer.
We stayed at a nice cottage style hotel.
In the afternoon, we were gathering at a table in the hotel's large garden.
There was the babbling of a stream in the middle of nature, and it was quiet and nice atmosphere.
However, it happened at that time.
In less than 10 minutes, my body became bumpy and I suffered from unbearable itching.
I found out later, I had been bitten by the black flies that live in the babbling stream.
I came back from my trip and rushed to the clinic, but for two weeks my whole body remained swollen.
残念ながら、娘も同じ体質なようです。
もちろん、お酒も飲めないし、血液型はB型。

庭に出るのに、こんだけ必要！！
以前、柴犬（ルル）を飼っていましたが、雷の鳴る日以外は、庭の犬小屋か、居間の外のデッキで寝ていました。
シーズン中は予防接種をして、蚊取り線香もたくさん焚いていましたが、きっといっぱい蚊に刺されて、痒い思いはしていたことでしょう。
今になって、かわいそうなことをしたと、悔やまれて仕方ありません。
