I had prepared this post a long time ago, but I was busy with other things and forgot about it.
Realistically, I will finally be leaving Japan today. I've done a lot of preparation, but will my hard work pay off?
I wrote about this flight in detail in my previous post, so this time I would like to introduce reservations for other means of transportation within the region other than airplanes.
The idea was to use airplanes for long-distance travel and trains/buses for medium-distance travel.
Meanwhile, I initially considered taking a night train from Salerno to Catania after sightseeing in Amalfi, but a senior colleague who used to live in Spain told me that ferries were also interesting, so I decided to take a ferry from Naples to Palermo. I did some research.
Unfortunately, I had never used a long-distance ferry in Japan, so I lacked basic knowledge, and even when I looked at the reservation site ``Direct Ferries,'' I didn't even understand the fare structure.
There are a variety of usage fees ranging from cheap to expensive.
I decided that the cheapest rate would be what they call a ``small fish bed'' in Japan, so I booked a room for two, which ended up being about double the price.
However, I decided to go for the higher price because I talked to my friend about how it's not something you can experience very often, but there were even higher prices.
After doing a detailed investigation, I found out that in Europe, there was no such thing as the "sleeping" type, but rather a type of sleeping on a chair like a bus seat (^^)
Also, the ferry companies had different prices, but I went with Tirrenia, which had been recorded as a ferry ride on the internet, but it was a slightly more expensive ferry.
