Since the transportation reservations for the main route of the trip were completed to some extent, we made hotel arrangements.

At first, I thought it would be a carefree trip, so I thought it would be okay to reserve a hotel for the first few days and then decide and book locally.

However, after considering various things, the number of destinations increased considerably, so I decided to book a hotel that can be canceled until a certain period because I thought that the plan would be ruined if I didn't control it well.

In addition, I wanted to keep the price down to about 5,000 yen per person per night. In other words, we decided to look for within 10,000 yen per night for two people.

First of all, I wasn't sure which reservation site to use, so I searched for "Trivago", a site that compares reservation sites.
Next, I checked some of the cheapest booking sites on Trivago, and in Europe, "Booking.com" and "Expedia" seemed to be strong, so I focused on these two and downloaded the app.

Next, I thought that if there were many people visiting the most popular towns, the hotels would fill up quickly, so I made reservations in order from those towns.
Specifically, we focused not only on the price, but also on the evaluation of the guests and the location.
I read a lot of the evaluation.
I thought that it would be more helpful if there were evaluations by Japanese people, especially since they have similar sensibilities.
In addition, while using GoogleMap for each location in parallel, I grasped how many minutes it would take to walk from the station.
When I couldn't find it well, I expanded the range and checked the distance from the bus stop in consideration of bus movement.
Luckily, Google Maps these days can tell you in super-details.

I still have some time before my trip to the corner, so I did some research.
Also, this made me familiar with the city's geography and made me feel like I was already traveling, so I didn't have much trouble.
I'm sure it will come in handy when traveling.

In the end, there are consecutive nights, so I booked 17 hotels.
And I was able to reserve a room for two people for about 9,000 yen per night.
To be precise, there are night buses and ferries, but this is not included.

As I proceeded with the reservation, I realized that the earlier the reservation, the cheaper the price.
If you search for the same hotel later, the price may be higher, and the highly rated and cheaper place will disappear from the search list, probably because the date is fully booked.
The mistake was that I made a reservation in a hurry because all the hotels in Barcelona were expensive, but since it was the first time, I could not check the details and paid in yen, and it was a pity that the hotel was non-cancellable. .

Here's what I learned
① As with transportation, I was able to find a comfortable hotel at a lower price if I made a reservation early.
The original goal was achieved within 10,000 for two people per night.

②Putting importance on the location If you always search for the location of the airport, port, station, bus stop where you arrived on GoogleMap and understand the details of transportation to the hotel, you can move comfortably.

③ Since the price displayed on the reservation site is "€", opening a Euro foreign currency account with SonyBank Wallet, which was introduced last time, helped to reduce the price.
In other words, we gained a benefit of more than 7% in terms of fees and exchange rates when converting to yen.

(4) It is convenient to organize the hotel, price, reservation site, etc. in the itinerary in Excel so that you can understand the whole picture.
