What it looked like over 2000 years ago!

At first, I was thinking of Spain as my next destination, but when I found out that the plane was flying to Marseille, I became interested in the Provence region of France.

In the Provence region, there are many cities that sound familiar to me, such as Marseille, Nice, Cannes, Monaco (although this is a country), Cote d'Azur, and Nimes.

In addition, I definitely want to see the ancient Roman ruins of Pont du Gard Maison Carré and Carcassonne.
It is said that Pont du Gard is a waterworks and aqueduct that was drawn from the mountains to the city by the Romans who loved cleanliness and baths in the ancient Roman era.
Also, I hear that Carcassonne is a historical ruin surrounded by double walls, which is said to be "don't die without seeing Carcassonne".

However, it seems that each place is close when I see it on a map, but when I actually search by train, it's quite far.

From Monaco, Italy seems to be right there, so if I go around all of them, I can know most of the French Mediterranean side.

I also found out that the train service from Carcassonne to Barcelona is infrequent and very inconvenient. Need one more night?

I'm still undecided, but I'm thinking about going around all of them because it's a good deal.
