I really liked this movie! I didn't know anything about it going in, so it being set during New Year's (Eve) was a nice touch, what with it actually being New Years and all.

The story had a clear-cut moral and lesson and I didn't mind it, I think I liked it more for it. It reminded me of those books I used to read as a child (like Pollyanna, Little Princess, Little Women and the like) and Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It was a welcome familiarity.

It also had this eerie ring to it that I really enjoyed as well. The one I watched (on youtube) had a wonderful score that had some sound effect-like parts too, the creaking of carriage wheels made it seem so authentic.

The visual effects were amazing too! I have no knowledge of filmmaking, I have no idea how they did it, but the see-through effect of the ghosts were so cool.

The plot was a bit confusing at times, I had a bit of trouble following it so I read Wikipedia for guidance along the way. I think I understood the story, but I couldn't explain to people if I tried.

Not gonna lie, the ending with the title card "Slut" took me out a bit.

Oh, and the actress for Edit (Edith?) reminded me of Miyu Matsushita in PRODUCE 101. They're both truly kind and beautiful souls, so it tracks. heh.

And I'm proud of myself for being able to sit through it without wandering too much! I was mostly intently glued to the screen! (Okay this might seem trivial to some people but lately I've had trouble concentrating on long-form media, be it shows or movies, so this was a win for me)
