I quite feel like writing my blog in English, so allow me to do that this time. (I actually think I am going to that from time to time.) I am not going to introduce some film or book, but what I am going to show you today is my favorite YouTube stuff.

The Snowman (1982) with Original Introduction

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE9KpobX9J8

The first one is a short children film called The Snowman. The story goes on only with background music. There is no one speaking in it. This conveys some sort of tranquil effect to the viewer. The story is about a boy having a wonderful experience with a snowman he made at one night right in the middle of winter. The ending was so poignant and touching that I could not help crying. It reminded me of the good old days in childhood, I mean, the childhood that every one goes through. After watching it, I felt extremely nostalgic and, at the same time, somehow melancholic. You know, I also used to feel excited whenever I saw lots of snow, but what about now? Obviously and unfortunately, I would not feel the same. So actually it is not just for children. I would like to recommend it especially for those who reminiscence acout the exciting feelings of childhood. By the way, the theme song 'Walking in the Air' sung by Aled Jones, a boy soprano who gained a huge popularity for this song years ago, is really nice. It reinforces the melanchoic atmosphere of the film.

Eton Style (Gangnam Style Parody) - (강남스타일) M/V

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FtZkVRkusQ

This one is a parody of the famous Korean song Gangnam Style made by some students at Eton College, one of the most prestigious public (which technically means 'private') high scholls in the UK. I happened to find this whan I was doing some kind of research about English educational system. Well, some might consider this movie as just snobbish as is shown in the comments, but I think of it rather interesting because I like the horsy rhythm of British English! And the lyrics!! My favorite is this part 'We may be awkward, frustrated, lonely and insecure, yes insecure. We are not too social, can't tlak to women, although we try, we're just too shy. if you approach us then we'll just break down and cry...' Isn't it funny is it. I have haerd that a public school like Eton is kind of like a prison in the sense they are stuck in the Eton building day and night. So it is no surprise that they are too shy to talk to women. It would be like going to a foreign country for them to go outside Eton.

Libera's Christmas Carols on Bliss TV

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hb4fi-HrTRo

This one is a movie in which five members of my favorite British choir Libera introduces a variety of Chrismas songs, one of which is Walking in the Air by the way. The boys are so adorable...I just can't resist their sweet faces and beautiful voicces. (Well, rememver I'm not a pedophile.) And notice the 8-year-old boy sitting on the left-hand side! He is Isaac London now singing as one of the main solists in the choir. His behaviour is childich and therefore so cute. It's like he is the only one who is not aware of the outside world. When I went to their Christmas concert in South London last year, I actually saw him right in front of me!! He was with his family after the concert and about to leave. I should have spoken to him...

Well, that's it! Sorry I have to go to university! Today I am going to give a presentation on my studying abroad in Oxford in English. I'm a bit nervous, but I'll just give it a try. See you later.
