The other day, I did tea making procedure
at the joint tea gathering. The weather was
good, and in the beautiful autumn leaves,
the main sweets of each troupe were beautiful
and delicious.
The name of the Japanese wagashi sweet of
Baikatei in Kagurazaka was “quiet night”.
It was said to be a copy of the sky on the night
before the tea gathering. It was an extravagant
experience to see the record of the tea gathering
main confectionery drawn by the fourth
generation owner of Baikatei, and to have it
that he himself served.
The name of Yakumo Chimoto’s confectionery
was “Ariake”. The inside of the white kinton
(mashed sweet potatoes) was a beautiful
crimson, like a glow in the morning sky.
Each is unique, but it is interesting that
the themes are connected.
先日、二社中合同茶会でお点前をさせて
いただいた。天気も良く、綺麗な紅葉の中
それぞれのお社中らしい主菓子も美しく
美味しく。
神楽坂梅花亭の銘は「静夜」お茶会前日
夜の空を写したものだそう。四代目自ら
描かれた今回の主菓子の会記（？）を
拝見し、自らお出しいただいた和菓子を
いただけたのは贅沢な体験だった。
八雲ちもとの銘は「有明」白いきんとん
の中は、朝焼けのようなきれいな紅赤。
それぞれ個性的でありながら、テーマが
繋がっているのも面白い。
