外国人の為の2ch用語集~2ch dictionary for foreigners~

私の知り合いの外国人はオタクな子が多い。
「寿司」以外に「やおい」「ゆり」「萌え」「変態」「ビジュアル系」とか日本語の単語＋4chを普通に知っているメンツなので、日本人なら立派な2チャンネラー/住民な子達と思う(笑)
って事で、良く見かける2ch用語やキャラなんかをちょっとだけ説明しておこうと思う。
My foreigner friends are probably Otaku(nerd).
They knows [Yaoi(Gay/Boy's-love)][Yuri(Gay/Girl's-love)][Moe(love)][Hentai(pervert/kinky)][visual-kei]etc other than [Sushi].

I think they are 2channeler/住民(Jyuumin/2channeler called themselves to "Jyuumin",it meaning "residents"in Japanese.) if they were a Japanese then.
That's why I would like to show and explain about some common 2ch-slang and characters for them.

日常語になっている2ch用語/2ch-slang as everyday language

Sometimes 2ch words become common everyday language in JP.

So-called "the buzzword",

That's why they fade out within few years but next words are popular words in JP today.

逝け面(ikemen)[ブサメン(busamen)／キモメン(kimomrn)]=ugly-guy
Those words came from イケメン(ikemen)=handsome/good looking person.
イケメン(ikemen) is a shortcut of "iketeru(cool) men(face in Japanese both men in English)".
[Copen-kun] who descended to 2ch by his [I went to Northern Europe, Do u have something question?-thread/November.2009 ] is a legendary ikemen even now.

usually, ppl use Katakana for a word that meaning "handsome",
In contrast, 逝け面(ikemen) that used kanji meaning 逝け(ike/fuck off and die)+面(men/face).
and Katakana words ブサメン(busamen)=不細工(busaiku/ugly)+面(men/face),
キモメン(kimomen)=気持ち悪い(kimochiwarui/disgusting)'s shortcut キモ(kimo)+面(face).
I think ppl used a word busamen for a person who set up "ikemen/handsome" more than kimomen and kimomen used for a person who Otaku.

リア充(riajyuu)=a person who have lover or living good life.
shortcut of "リアル充実(real fulfilling life)".
usually ppl used this word for a peron who have a lover.
opposite word="非リア(hiria)".
2ch-jyuumin hates riajyuu because they are probably "foreveralone".

"riajyuu"&"hiria" *but usually hiria ppl have fulfilling virtual-life*

キョロ充(kyorojyuu)= a person who hiria secretly but setting up riajyuu.
It's shortcut of キョロキョロ(kyoro-kyoro/busy looking around eyed)+リア充(reajyuu).
they afraid "left out",or ppl found out his/her is a hiria who only posing "reajyuu".

KY(kei-wai)=shortcut of "空気読め(Kuuki-Yome)"

literal translation is "read air(mood)",it meaning "nonsense(ppl)" for many reasons,

In 2ch, sometimes KY meaning "Retarded person" because KY ppl in 2ch probably having "コミュ障(Komyu-syou/shortcut of "Community-syougai)"(or on this plot).

*but usually they use "池沼(Chisyou/Ime-numa)/pond-marsh place" for retarded-tic person because same pronunciation with "知障(Chisyou)/shortcut of 知的障害(Chiteki-syougai)".

sometimes Jyuumin used same pronunciation Kanji "空気嫁(Kuuki-Yome)/air wife(love doll)",

DQN(dokyun)=JP chavs

usually, they dye hair to blond and pierced and tattooed(or dreaming have it).

they are KY and selfish and low educational/uncultured ppl who prefer Yakuza(JP Mafia)-style/thoughtless cheap heroism.

*80'-90' JP ppl called to them "Yankii"*

but ppl use this word more easily to something thoughtless persons in daily-life.
and if it was girl then usually 2ch ppl called "Sweets",
because DQN girls probably likes use a English word "Sweets" as "お菓子(okashi)/treats".

this word came from 90' JP TV show"目撃!ドキュン(mokugeki! dokyun)/see! bang ".

because this TV show was aired this typical ppl too much.

厨二病(cyuuni-byou)=JP Jr high school second grade syndrome/JP EMO
This word used for ppl(esp teens) who "dreaming" for many reasons.
They having "I'm a charisma" or "I have a special power" or something those kind of thoughts and doing foolish act with forget "who I am",
and usually they prefer link with "dark-hero/heroine"and thinking suicide or kill someone.
their looks are usually DQN style in JP.
*"cyari de kita"boys are fall into same category as this category too*
but some ppl are just like a EMO in western countries like "L"in Death-note or Cosplayers.

メンヘラ(Menhella)=a person who having mental disorder
This word was shortcut of "Mental Health"+"er".
In 2ch, the percentage of Menhella is very higher.

Next, I will show you some popular 2ch-slang,
when I reads 2ch archived articles site then I saw those words many times.

shortcut of "詳しく(Kuwashiku)". it meaning "Tell me detail/I would like to know detail".

shortcut of "プゲラ(pugera)", its *derision* in 2ch.

shortcut of "ガクガクブルブル(gakugaku-buruburu)".
its sound of shaking when we got something terrible happen.

wktk
shortcut of "ワクワクテカテカ(wakuwaku-tekateka)".
its sound of mood when we got excite happen. "wakuwaku"=*exciting* "tekateka"=*twinkle*

syortcut of "(笑)wara" its other form of "w as LOL"

but ppl useed this mark for say "However,ikemen only"

2ch-jyuumin in ニュー速VIP(nyuusoku-VIP/flash news bulletin VIP)-board.
ppl saying that they are most rotten ppl in 2ch.

鬼女(kijyo)
2ch-jyuumin in 既婚女性(kikon-jyosei/married women)-board.
ppl saying that they are most terrible/horrible ppl in 2ch.
that's why ppl called to them "鬼女(kijyo/female-ogre)" as 既女(kijyo/shortcut of kikon-jyosei).

shortcut of 飯が美味い(meshi ga umai/yummy meal).
2ch-jyuumin used this word when someone got bad happen except [My wife's meals are yummy]-board.
because it meaning [他人の不幸で今日も飯が美味い(tanin no fukou de kyou mo meshi ga umai)].
it meaning "take pleasure in the misery of others"in English.

メシマズ(mesi-mazu)
opposite of meshiuma.
2ch-jyuumin used this word when someone got luck or something nasty taste stories except [My wife's meals are worst]-bord.

ワロス/ワロタ(warosu/warota)
2ch form of "笑った(waratta/laugh)".
sometimes ppl use this word with [byte] like "tera"or "giga".

２ｃｈのキャラ達/2ch characters
There are so many 2ch original characters,
because 2ch-Jyuumin likes make AA(ascii-art).
most popular character is "Kumah" as "pedo-bear"in other countries.
but original "Kumah" is not pedophilly.
