"Ten Packs is a strategy guide aimed at teaching Magic: The Gathering players how to approach the Booster Draft format through the eyes of four of the world’s greatest players. Paulo Vitor Damo Da Rosa, Craig Wescoe, Brian Kibler, and Luis Scott-Vargas each examine ten packs of Return to Ravnica as if they were each the first packs opened in a high level competition. They weigh the merits of each card, giving explanations as to why they’d pick a particular card over the others. In addition, they detail various draft archetypes in the set and in many cases discuss the general draft strategies underlying their respective decisions. In Part I, each of the authors examines the same five packs, giving the reader four in-depth analyses of each of the five packs. In Part II, each author examines five different packs on their own, giving the reader a grand total of 25 Return to Ravnica packs reviewed (5 unique in Part I and 20 unique in Part II). Combined, Parts I and II are intended to equip the reader with the knowledge necessary to elevate his or her drafting abilities to the next level.
