数量に関する形容詞で正しいものを選択する問題ですが、この手の問題で"furniture"はよく目にすると思います。
"furniture"は不可算名詞で単数扱いのため、動詞、形容詞もそれを修飾できるものでなければなりません。
よって、①と④はbe動詞がareと複数形になっています。さらにa fewや manyは可算名詞を修飾する用法なので×になります。
また、"furniture"が不可算名詞なので、不定冠詞は使えません。②も×になります。
（a lotは副詞なので直接名詞を修飾することはできないという前提cf. I ate lunch a lot.）
