日本語練習14：Na-Adjectives, Copulas and past tenses

The stem of a Na-adjective is also works like a Noun.

Vocabularies:
Stems of Na-adjectives to memorize
　しんせつ shinsetu kind
　たいせつ taisetu important, precious, beloved, cherished

　Na-Adjectives (to nouns)
　しんせつなともだち shinsetu-na tomodachi, a kind friend(s)
　たいせつなかぞく taisetu-na kazoku, (one's) precious family

　Na-Adjectives (Fragmental)
　ともだちはしんせつ tomodachi wa shinsetu
　かぞくはたいせつ kazoku wa taisetu

　With Copulas だ.です　in the Predicates (standard/polite)
ともだちは　しんせつだ/しんせつです tomodachi wa shinsetu-da/shinsetu-desu
かぞくは　たいせつだ/たいせつです kazoku wa taisetu-da / kazusu wa taisetu-desu

　The past tense forms - only the Copulas change
　standard だ　だった DA = present, DATTA = past
　polite です　でした DESU = present, DESHITA = past

　ともだちは　しんせつ　だった
　ともだちは　しんせつ　でした

　This is the same way as the Copulas for Nouns:
　それは　かぼちゃ　だった
　それは　ふつう　でした

　COMPARE WITH I-adjective
　おおきかった
　おおきかったです
　are already in the past tense so that would never be:
　おおきかっただった
　おおきかったでした
