I watched a movie,"The Chronicles of Narnia"
Yesterday I watched a movie, "The chronicles of Narnia" on DVD.
I watched it in English with Japanese subtitles.
Before I watched it, I wanted to read the book in English. First I read it very well, but gradually I couldn't understand as much I stopped reading at chapter 15, so I didn't know the whole story.
The movie was very good. I really enjoyed it. I understood the story, so I will try the book in English one more time. Maybe I will think it is easier to understand.
Also, some day I want to enjoy the movie in English with no subtitles.

Good writing! You need to remember the plural forms. In English this usually includes adding "s" at the end of the word. As you read and listen more, you will become more familiar with the past tense of the verbs, plurals, and the English phrases.
I agree, this is a very good movie. I think it's wonderful that you are combining media forms, like reading and movies, to help you become more fluent in English. This is just what The Linguist offers, with reading, listening and speaking. Continue to listen, listen, listen to help your understanding even more.
English conversation class
Last month, I saw a newspaper article written by a temple.
It said the temple's monk is German, so many foreigners visit the temple.
I was especially interested when I read that the monk held English conversation classes every Sunday, free of charge.
When I saw this, I wanted to go there to attend a class, but I couldn't go because I was otherwise occupied.
Last Sunday, I finally went there. This class doesn't have lesson plans. Its purpose is to improve the communication between the Japanese people and the foreign monk.
First, we talked about Japanese food because the German was a cook, so he wanted to know how to make Japanese foods. We taught him a good Japanese recipe.
After that we had an open conversation. I talked to an American. He came to Japan one month ago and will stay here until September.
I had a wonderful time. I want to go there next time.

You have made a few mistakes with verbs, articles and prepositions that will improve as you become more comfortable with the language. Right now, you should focus on your word choice. Word choice and phrasing are very important if you wish to sound like a fluent English speaker. Saving words and phrases, and reviewing them often, will help you do this. I would also suggest that you listen to some conversations in The Linguist library. You can hear how native English speakers put words and phrases together, and this will help you do the same thing.
Plural nouns seem to give you the most trouble. Try paying close attention to noun forms when you are reading and reviewing. Good luck!

Its always great to talk to you. I really noticed a difference today. Your speech seemed much more relaxed and effortless. Though I can't be 100% sure, my guess is that all the listening you are doing is helping you. So I encourage you to continue with ESL Pod. Have a great day! I look forward to talking with you again next week.

You are still having some problems with articles and with normal usage. Normal usage means that you do not always sound natural. It is really important to spend more time saving and reviewing words and phrases. You should also save some phrases with 'a', 'the' and 'an' in them so you become familiar with these articles. Another useful activity is to save articles as individual words. You can then go to the REVIEW section and click on 'words I am learning.' Next, click on 'check for examples' and you will be given a list of sentences that include the particular article or word you clicked on.
Proper punctuation is very important if you wish for your writing to be fluent and easily understood. When saving words and phrases, pay close attention to where commas are placed. Read your writing out loud so that you hear where you pause. Commas are most often placed where speakers naturally pause. You may also want to pay close attention to this when reading. This will help you become familiar with the practice of punctuation, and you can begin to use this element more efficiently in your own writing.
Verbs still seem to give you some trouble. The best thing that you can do is save and review phrases that contain verbs. Also, when you are reading, try to identify the verbs in the sentences. Pay close attention to their forms and uses. By exposing yourself to these words over and over, your own usage of them will become much better. Good luck!

Daniel Powter is very popular here in Canada, and his songs, especially "Bad Day", are played on the radio all the time. He is a very good singer, and his songs are quite nice.

Verbs are the 'action words' of sentences, and they can have many forms. The best thing you can do is save phrases that include verbs. Also, continue writing. The more you write, the better you will get. Good luck!

I discussed with Jill.
Today I discussed with Jill, Monica who is from Brazil and Tony who is from Taiwan.
Today's topic was "The summer is almost here and I know that many of you will be going on vacation. What are your plans? Are you going to go anywhere? How did you spend your summer vacation when you were a child?"
I prepared some sentences for this convercation.
First we talked about ou summer vacation plans then we talked about our childhood's summer vacation.
Tony said he wondered whether to go Japan or not this summer.(Maybe)
And Monica has a big summer plan. I envy her.
After talking I asked for them, "How long have you have summer vacation in your school?"
Everybody said summer vacation has 2 or 3 month in their countries. Wow I can't believe that!
I enjoyed conversation very much. I often talk 8 A.M. and Tony sometimes joins me.

Hello Aki, Here are your corrections:
1. "in this summer"- "this summer"
2. "My brother and sisters will come us"- "My brother and sisters will come with us."
3. "I was a member of volleyball team."- "I was a member of a volleyballl team."
4. "We have a lot of homeworks."- "We have a lot of homework." "Homework" is never pluralized.
5. "Sometimes we go to trip ...."- "Sometimes we went on a trip ...."
