I haven't written in my diary for days because things have been so busy lately.
Let me summarize what happened over the past few days.
October 17
I went cycling with Xixi. I'd given her my old bike, so we rode together.
October 18
I had a piano lesson and played a simplified version of Ode to Joy. It was so cheerful! I can play some classical music now!
Over the next two days, I practiced a lot to get ready for my next lesson tonight, on October 21.
October 19
The boss interviewed someone for the job. That was quick! I heard that the candidate had called on Sunday, just one day after I handed in my resignation.
This makes me realize that the reason we've been short-staffed for so long is probably that the boss never really wanted to hire anyone. He could hire someone whenever he wanted to.
October 20
I heard that the candidate would be joining us next week.
So, so fast! I guess I won't have to wait too long before I can leave!
