・教科書本文のno more than one dollar a dayは「１日わずか１ドル」ではなく、「１日１ドル以下」という意味ではないか？
・以下の例文のように、no more than～は「～以下」という意味でよく使われる。(注：例文は前回・前々回のリンクにある、このブログで紹介したもの)
1. If a prose quotation runs no more than four lines and requires no special emphasis, put it in quotation marks and incorporate in the text.（MLA handbook）
引用が4行以下で、特に強調する必要のない場合は、引用符に入れて本文に組み込みなさい。(MLAハンドブック＝英語の論文を書くためのルールブック)
2. Takana has produced 12 consecutive quality starts (at least six innings, no more than three earned runs), making him the first American Leaguer in more than a century to begin his career with such a streak....

・この教科書の文に限らずno more thanの扱われ方には問題があると考えている。教師用指導書の和訳について再検討してほしい。
