Hello Guys,
Please find attached the latest plots for Alpair 5 Gen 2. This is RAW data generated in our large anechoic chamber on IEC baffle. Not the smooth response.
The new Alpair 5 is a pure single suspension unit. There’s no Ferro-fluid or any other damping inside the magnet sub-assembly.
I recommend limited publication at this stage. Norio is hoping to arrange independent verification as the plot is remarkably stable. Listening tests by Matsubara San (Farther designer of the Fostex Fe series) of Alp5 G2 in Linfof BR boxes were totally successful.
Please note the Markaudio classic LF lift to compensate for step losses in most ported boxes and the life in the HF to comp
