Cerakote Gold ★ Customization to XX's 24K Type TiO2
I would like to write about this in detail later.

Hello everyone,
How are you doing?
It's gotten quite warm, hasn't it?
Today, what I'm wearing in the above image is a 1st generation Plasma Juliet coated with Cerakote ceramic coating.
Cerakote Juliet 1st Generation Plasma
The lenses are NXT Photochromic Fire.
It's pretty much Bone Plasma, isn't it?
We've started offering Cerakote coating services for these, so if you're interested, please check our website.
Also, we've added a menu for refreshing carbon with Cerakote.
Please check this out as well.
Cerakote Matte Black Juliet
Cerakote Matte Black X-SQUARED
I've been writing about Cerakote on the blog for about half a year now.
- In reality, how strong is the coating?
- How different is it from the genuine coating (Bone Plasma, Carbon, or Polished Carbon)?
I think many of you are interested in that aspect.
I'll write a bit about my impressions from using it. Cerakote has quite a high level of durability, abrasion resistance, and weather resistance.
For example, when inserting the nose bridge pin, a considerable force is applied near the hole as the pin is pressed in, but the Cerakote does not peel off.
Also, it is resistant to rubbing scratches, and even after repeatedly rubbing the coating surface with an iron rod, the color does not peel off.
Cerakote is a ceramic coating and has strength in a different dimension from paint.
However, compared to carbon, the coating may feel a bit thicker, giving a slightly bulky impression.
Considering the current difficulty of refreshing carbon with DLC, I think Cerakote is currently the best option for repairing faded carbon that has been used for many years.
For more details about Cerakote, I recommend researching online.

Now, the gold with Cerakote,
As shown in the image at the top.
Juliet (Nose and arms with Cerakote / Orbital: Plasma)
The feel of the nose and arms is exactly like the X-METAL XX in 24K, isn't it?
For comparison,
this is the actual X-METAL XX-24K (not Cerakote, the real XX-24K).
And
Romeo 2 (Nose and arms are Cerakote)
I'd like to post some images.
Comparison with Juliet TiO2
The owner chose to go with a straight stem for this custom to avoid similarity with the XX model with a hammer stem. It's a cool choice!
The Romeo 2 is also looking good.
The Romeo 2, with this TiO2 pattern, looks quite fitting, don't you think?
How about it?
I hope you can get a sense of the Cerakote finish.
And,
The lenses and rubber parts are in the usual pattern.
It was 24K gold & black rubber parts.
Hmm, it looks cool, doesn't it?

Also, Cerakote can achieve a slightly matte feel like these examples, or it can have a glossy finish.
I'll show more images of Cerakote, so you can see the various finishes it can achieve, check them out

Pit Boss 2
These frames are all Max's ("Japanese Jerry fish" on Oakley Forum) frames... Looks like he's been doing a lot of Cerakote, huh? 😂
He came to visit the other day.

Now, let's take a look at the other one, IP Gold.
https://www.linegear-jp.com/product/1482
For more details, please read the product description.
Here is Max's full Gold Juliet that I'd like to introduce first.
The frame, screws, pins, lenses, everything is gold—! (The nose pin is Cerakote)
Oh my god! Haha, it feels a bit too much, like something you might find in a temple in Thailand or somewhere similar with that antique feel.
This Juliet is IP Gold.
It has been IP Gold plated in a plasma state, resulting in a slightly matte gold finish.
Quite impactful.
I tried it on for a bit.
"If it's Max, it seems like it could be handled well."

Now, let's move on to the customer's custom.
This is a shiny IP gold.
The orbitals remain as they are, made of carbon.
After polishing the base metal, it was IP gold-plated.
The black of the orbital and the black of the ear sock create a very nice balance.
Look at this. The smoothness of the nose.
For a glossy gold finish, IP Gold undoubtedly takes the lead over Cerakote.
IP Gold is slightly more expensive, but it enhances the metallic feel of the material, resulting in a subdued and sophisticated appearance that blends well with the skin, without excessive decoration.

Now, let's move on to the LINEGEAR-customized IP Gold X-METAL XX 24K, which is scheduled for release soon.
The orbitals are plasma, and the nose and arms are IP Gold.
It becomes a slightly matte gold finish.
It is finished in exactly the same pattern as the original.
In fact, it is a frame that was originally XX-24K and has been refreshed.
If you have been looking for it, please don't miss it.
